Networking & Events
For local government to work effectively it must collaborate and connect beyond council borders. That’s why we offer extensive networking opportunities for you to meet likeminded people in similar roles across Hampshire. By sharing best practice, challenges and solutions, we can build stronger local councils together.
A vital part of our work is to provide a stronger, collective voice for our members. With a strong membership we can lobby regionally and nationally on your behalf.
One of the key ways we bring members together is through our County Forum, a dedicated event that supports collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing across Hampshire’s parish and town councils.
The forum will meet twice a year, with the focus on:
- bringing parish and town councils from across Hampshire together to collaborate, network and share experiences;
- exploring current issues, policy developments and common challenges while promoting best practice and informing Hampshire ALC initiatives;
- Keeping members updated on activities undertaken on their behalf in the various external appointments and bodies at which Hampshire ALC is represented.
